Revelstoke

Revelstoke is a city in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, with a census population of 8,275 in 2021. Revelstoke is located 641 kilometres east of Vancouver, and 415 kilometres west of Calgary, Alberta.

Tucked between the Monashee and Selkirk Mountain Ranges of southeastern British Columbia, Revelstoke abounds with natural beauty.

Revelstoke has long been a destination for mountaineers, hikers and explorers, and was historically referred to adh "the capital of the Canadian Alps", drawing visitors from around the world. For over 50-years, Revelstoke has been home to some of the best heliskiing in the world, and in 2007, celebrated the opening of Revelstoke Mountain Resort. The master-planned resort boasts North America's long ski descent of 5,620. vertical feet, weightless powder and expansive alpine bowls. In summer, the resort and community attracts outdoor adventurists, mountain bikers, climbers, watersport enthusiasts and golfers. Anticipated for the summer of 2005, Cabott Revelstoke will be Revelstoke's second world-class, 18-hole golf course.

With its roots as a railway town, rail plus forestry and natural resources are industries that built and sustained the town for more than 100 years. It's this rich history that sets Revelstoke apart. A quaint, historical downtown core lined with cafes, galleries, shops and restaurants welcomes visitors year-round.

The community of Revelstoke acknowledges the four nations on whose land they live, work and adventure: the Sinixt, the Secwepemc, the Syilx and the Ktunaxa.
